Eco-Reps
Eco-Reps are student leaders dedicated to furthering Trinity’s sustainability goals by promoting ways for all members of the Trinity community to adopt more environmentally and socially responsible behaviors.
Eco-Reps are tasked with promoting sustainable practices at Trinity College and encouraging responsible behavior throughout the whole Trinity community. Students are involved in a variety of initiatives raging from waste and recycling to sustainable food practices, environmental literacy, energy conservation, transportation, and more.
Current Eco-Reps projects include:
- Maintenance and upkeep of the Trinity College Office Supply Exchange, Bantam Book Swap, and Free Table
- Ditch the Dumpster – Trinity’s student move-out waste diversion program
- Peer to peer education on all sustainability topics
- Encouraging increased participation in the Crescent St. Composting program
- Collecting food waste at events and helping attendees properly sort their waste
- Promotion of the Bantam Bus Pass and sustainable transportation options
- Turning the Smith House into a model of sustainability on campus
